Pic Nic in Vigneto is Cantina MIR’s open-air experience: a slow moment among the vines, in the authentic countryside of the Itria Valley, where the landscape has never changed — vines, dry-stone walls and an ancient, unrestored rural trullo.
The guided walk through the vines introduces Verdeca, the white grape that is the very symbol of Locorotondo, and the way Cantina MIR interprets it while respecting the plant’s natural cycle. Then you’ll settle in the shade for a tasting of 4 glasses, accompanied by artisanal focaccia, a board of cured meats and aged cheeses, olives and taralli.
A simple, convivial moment far from the crowds, savouring wine in the very place where it is born: just right for couples, friends and families in search of the truest Puglia.

Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes: reservations may be changed or cancelled up to 48 hours before the scheduled tasting time, with a full refund of the amount paid. For cancellations made within 48 hours of the experience, in case of no-show, or if a late arrival prevents the tasting from taking place as scheduled, no refund can be issued.
What if the weather turns bad?
In case of bad weather, the picnic can be rescheduled or moved to the winery’s tasting room in the centre of Locorotondo: we’ll agree together on the best solution.
